Twin Lakes Park has 2 campgrounds loops (North, and South). No seasonal sites are offered. A camping registration pay tube is located in each of the campgrounds.   A brief overview of the park follows:

North Campground: The North Campground offers 15 electrical sites. There is a dump station, shower facility, flush toilets, picnic shelter, Naturescape playground and campground playground as well. 7 sites are may be reserved

South Campground:  The South Campground offers 14 electrical sites (15-29). There are flush toilets. 

Twin Lakes Park Paddle Share is a new and exciting recreational opportunity for people who don’t own a boat, and want a safe and enjoyable experience on the water.  We provide a high quality selection of single kayaks, double kayaks, and paddle boards, along with paddles, and life jackets.  You make a reservation that fits your travel plans, show up, enter a code which will give you access to your boat, and away you go.  When you are done, simply put everything back into the container and go on your way.  Welcome to an easy and affordable way to enjoy paddling. As per its namesake Twin Lakes Park has plenty of fishing in all seasons! NOTE: West Twin is restricted to ELECTRIC MOTORS ONLY but will have a new boat access in 2020. East Twin water levels are now under control as a temporary drawdown structure was installed in 2019.The boat landing is usable. Both lakes also have prime ice fishing.

Twin Lakes Park has 2 picnic shelters for day use and large gatherings.  A Natural Landscape playground features is in close proximity to the West Twin Lake up-shore beach area and water access. You can explore the restored native prairie area, or bring your group for outdoor education and use the picnic shelter for presentations.

This location at one time was the site of school district 57 which opened in 1895 and closed in 1947. Rural students including some from large farm families, traveled up to several miles each day for classes. The school consolidated with Ruthton School District , and was later moved to Ruthton, Minnesota, where it was later used as a Masonic Hall.

The site was a small park before Lyon County purchased the property for the beautiful park it is today. Twin Lakes Park is newly created park set between East and West Twin Lake. It is located in the southwestern corner of Lyon County in Shelburne Township, south of Florence.

The Park is made up of 61.8 acres, 21.8 of which are developed. Construction of the park began in 2014 and the grand opening in the Spring of 2016.Phase II development including an additional campground is scheduled to open in 2020.
