Lyon County features two (2) County Parks (Garvin, and Twin Lakes) comprising 5 campgrounds with 50 total campsites (most have electricity) generally open (weather permitting) between May and October. Payment for camping is on the Honor System, although County Staff, and a Campground Host are available onsite for Registration. Payment Boxes are located in the park, or you can leave your payment with the Campground Host when available.
Opened in 2016, Twin Lakes Park is Lyon County's newest park; nestled between East Twin and West Twin lakes. Two campsites are able to be reserved. Twin Lakes Park came to fruition from the desire for Carmen Christensen to leave a legacy with land he owned. Ronald and Rodger Anderson have also sold land to the County for future generations to enjoy camping and recreation in the area. Twin Lakes Park exists from partnerships, generous donations, and Clean Water Land & Legacy Amendment Funding.
Now accepting reservations for the 2017 camping season.
The Garvin Park allows five (5) designated campsites to be reserved in each Garvin Park campground (Lower, Upper, and Horseback Riding), and two (2) campsites at Twin Lakes Park. The reservation calendar appears below.
