Due to weather conditions potentially impacting travel and delivery services, the deadline for landfill construction bids is extended to 1:00pm, Thursday, February 14, 2019.
You are invited to bid on a general contract for Lyon County for the construction of the western half of Phase 10A of the Lyon County Regional Landfill. Work to include recompaction of already placed low permeable clay liner, installation of flexible membrane liner, leachate collection system, and general work related to the disposal cell construction. Additional construction items include repairs to the final cover of the closed landfill area, repairs to leachate control manholes, and retrofitting leachate recirculation infrastructure. The construction includes furnishing all parts, labor and materials necessary to complete the western half of Phase 10A, repair the final cover and manholes, retrofit the leachate recirculation system, and finish site work.
Bids will be received by Lyon County (the Owner) until 10:30 a.m., local time, February 13, 2019. Bids received after this time will not be accepted. Bids will be received at the following location:

A pre-bid conference will be held at 10:30 a.m., local time, on February 4, 2019. Attendance is not required, but is strongly encouraged. Pre-bid conference will be held at the Lyon County Sanitary Landfill Scalehouse Building, 2025 200th Avenue, Lynd, Minnesota 56157
Bid security in the form of a certified or bank cashier's check or a Bid Bond in the amount of five (5) percent of total Bid price payable to Lyon County shall accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. In the event that the selected bidder fails to enter into a contract, the check shall be forfeited to Lyon County. The successful bidder shall furnish a performance bond and payment bond, within ten (10) days after award of the contract, in the full amount of the contract. The performance and payment ponds shall be executed by a company duly authorized to do business in the State of Minnesota.
